They let me take a picture in the MRI

This photo was taken on Dec. 2 when I was in Redwood City for an MRI. I had to do a lot of sweet talking to get the tech to take this picture. Really, I wanted a photo of me in the machine, but the tech couldn't take a photo while he was running the show and watching the scans. That makes sense and I am glad the tech wasn't willing to compromise his responsibilities just to take my photo. (Photography isn't a priority for those in the medical field.)

So here I am laying on the table before I go in. After this point the bed moves up and into the round tube. If you have had a brain MRI before then you know what I'm talking about.

Back in August 2008 when we didn't know what was going on with me one of my first MRIs was of my brain and spinal cord, and I was in the machine for an hour and a half!

I used to have scans every two months but now I get scans every three months. Thankfully, my check-up scans only take about 25 minutes.
