Hi. My name is Liz and I have brain cancer. This blog acts as my personal journal, communication forum and cancer soap box. Follow me on Twitter @TheLizArmy.
Today I took two 1-gallon Ziploc bags of old medicine and chemo bottles to a hazardous waste drop-off facility. I bet there is something symbolic about throwing away an entire year’s worth of medical paraphernalia.
Indeed. We tend to just drop off the 1gal ziplock filled bags of empty bottles about once every 6 weeks or so. Our local Walgreens actually takes them back to dispose of them for us; kinda nice. Does your Pharm have a bottle return or are you close to a Haz accepting facility? Happy Easter! Hope the eggs taste ok! [For my guy though he says sulfer based foods and savory ones taste the most medicinal now. Hope you got a break on that.]

So I did talk to my pharmacy about what to do with all the empty Temodar bottles and they said that as long as none of the capsule broke that it was safe to just recycle them normally with all the other glass (wine bottles, jars etc.) I guess it depends on who you talk to.
