Hemispatial neglect for mixed-handed people

My ambidexterity (or “mixed-handedness”) has become more noticeable over the past two years (since my brain surgery in 2009). It is especially hard now to tell my left from right sides.

What is this like?

I pick up an object and am confused as to which hand should be using the object. I think, "I'll use the left hand. Sure, that's comfortable." Then the next time I will pick up the same object and feel more comfortable using the other hand.

And at other times, it doesn't matter which hand I use; both are equally skilled or equally awkward.
