Is anyone listening?

To the person from Aurora, Illinois, who read many of my posts on Monday, December 27: Thank you.

On that day my Google Analytics program for this blog spiked with the highest ever daily page views. Knowing you were reading makes me feel like someone (you) got something out of all this writing I've been doing for the past two years.

Sometimes I feel like I am shouting into the wind and no one is listening.

Update from 2020: I just searched the name of the person who commented below, and who continued to comment on my blog for many years. I learned he died in June 2019. For all the people who felt connected to me over the years, I am honored to be a small part of your life.
