You mean you want to pay me?

At the end of my appointment today at UCSF I was invited to participate in a study. The purpose of the study is to keep track of people like me to see how we do over time and try to identify the possible causes of brain tumors (as they are unknown). The study will also track the health outcomes for those diagnosed with brain tumors (e.g., how long they live after diagnosis).

A person qualifies for the study if they are diagnosed with a glioma (a type of brain tumor) between September 1, 2006 and March 1, 2010.

I qualify and I said, "Yes!" to participating even before I even realized I would be compensated $40.
